Lore:Fabled
Fabled are beings of possibly Daedric origins that inhabited the Infinite Archive. Fabled are often accompanied by maligraphies. The exact nature of Fabled remains unclear. They generally exhibit greater power than most Maligraphies,[1] although there are exceptions to this rule,[2] as the strength of a maligraphy depends on the page they were created from.[3][4]
It is uncertain whether the Fabled are a distinct variant of the Maligraphy or an entirely separate kind of entity.[5] It is uncertain whether these beings are similarly composed of vivified ink or not, but they were also summoned by the Tho'at Replicanum within the Infinite Archive. Unlike the varied forms of Maligraphies,[3][4] the Fabled consistently appear as robed humanoids dressed similarly to members of Hermaeus Mora's cults, such as the Scribes of Mora or Ciphers of the Eye.[1][6]
